Time to Sauce up your Summer
Share
Summer is just around the corner, and there’s nothing better than hanging out with family and friends to enjoy a backyard barbecue. When it comes to barbecues, I think the meat is only as good as the sauce you slather on it — which is why I always pick out the best barbecue sauces.
We’ve come a long way since the early days of barbecue. What started as a simple mix of butter and vinegar has evolved into a full library of sauces — from mustard and vinegar styles to tropical blends and smoky classics. With so many options, it’s hard to choose which will make your summer cookout shine. Here are some of BOB’s favorite barbecue sauces to make your next party sizzle!
D.B. Yummers Barbecue Sauce
Sometimes the classics are all you need to make a barbecue great, and D.B. Yummers delivers. Their Original Sweet & Smokey BBQ Sauce balances authentic sweetness and smoke, while the Mildly Spicy version adds just enough kick. For a tropical twist, try their Island BBQ Sauce — made with real pineapple bits and juice that’ll transport you straight to the beach.
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que puts a creative spin on traditional sauces. The Roasted Honey Garlic has a perfect mix of sweetness and zest, while Garlic Chipotle Pepper starts bold and finishes smooth. For the adventurous, Devil’s Duel packs a fiery punch that spice lovers will adore.
Stonewall Kitchen’s Grille Sauces
Stonewall Kitchen offers a line of unique and gourmet sauces. The Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce combines hickory smoke with real bacon, onions, spices, and a splash of bourbon. For a sweeter touch, try the Roasted Apple Grille Sauce — made with New England apples and maple syrup for a mellow, caramelized finish.
Sauces of Summer | Trader Joe’s
Sauces of Summer live up to their name. The Organic Sriracha & Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce and Organic Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce both bring balanced spice and molasses sweetness. The Sriracha sauce has a bit more heat, while the Brown Sugar version leans toward citrusy sweetness with a touch of orange peel.
Brooks House of BBQ
No barbecue is complete without wings, and Brooks House of BBQ has you covered with mild, medium, and hot wing sauces. Their Oneonta Hot Sauce blends smoky barbecue flavor with just the right amount of heat — truly the best of both worlds.
With so many sauces to choose from, you may need to host more barbecues than planned. But there’s no better way to bring people together than around the grill. So strap on your apron and fire up that barbecue — you’ve got some serious tasting to do!
Happy Grilling!
